Sweetheart Avocado Brownies

What you'll need:
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted, and mashed
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

 

What to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the mashed avocado, almond milk, and maple syrup.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix the flour mixture into the avocado mixture until a smooth batter is formed. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick or knife poked in the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let brownies cool for 15 minutes before cutting.
